A walk through the school hallways shows just how different student style can be. Influenced by TikTok, Pinterest, and friends, fashion has become a way for students to feel confident and comfortable rather than focused on impressing others.
For many seniors, comfort comes first. Oversized hoodies, baggy jeans, neutral colors, and UGGs are common sights, helping students get through long school days.
Senior Gigi Alexis describes her style as “comfy, relaxing, and fashionista.” She finds inspiration on Pinterest and TikTok and has noticed a shift toward streetwear. “Girls wear a lot of sweatpants, hoodies, and baggy jeans,” she said. Still, Gigi stays true to herself. “I go by me. I really don’t care what other people think.”

Senior Juliana Morales describes her look as “dark, edgy, and baggy.” She draws inspiration from Pinterest and those around her and has noticed more thrifting at school. “With the recession, people are reusing and upcycling to save money,” she said. One trend she sees everywhere is UGGs, especially during colder months.

Overall, school fashion today reflects comfort, individuality, and authenticity, showing that students dress for themselves first.
