Our school is set to revolutionize the way students learn anatomy and other sciences with the arrival of the Anatomage Table. This state-of-the-art, interactive dissection tool allows students to explore and study the human body in 3D, providing a hands-on learning experience. The Anatomage Table uses advanced imaging technology to simulate life-sized, virtual cadaver dissections, complete with detailed layers of muscles, bones, and organs. With just a swipe of the hand, users can explore different bodily systems, zoom in on specific structures, and rotate images for a comprehensive view. Not only does the Anatomage provide a more in-depth look into human anatomy, it can also simulate chem labs, simulate a stroke, and even provide detailed…

If you’ve ever stayed after school, you may have heard the loud bounces and screams that come from the gymnasium. Peek through the window, and you’ll find students from all schools making insane free throws and 3-pointers. This edition’s spotlight will feature the Basketball Club, hosted by Mr. Klein and Mr. Decastro. Started by Klein during the founding years of this school, anybody with a passion for or interest in basketball is welcome to join every Friday after school in the gym. “I always equated the two, teaching and basketball,” Klein said. “It gave me a connection to students who liked basketball.” Klein adds, “I ran the gym in my old school, so it’s really been a…

Moana 2 is coming out on November 27, 2024, a great movie to watch on the holiday(s).  Some different things in the new movie are new crew, new characters, and darker (deeper) music. Moana 2 will take place 3 years after the events in the first movie. “We have new villains, new songs, and a new crew following Moana in this journey,” said Auli’i Cravalho, the voice actor of Moana, on Good Morning, America.   Most peers and friends we asked are looking forward to watching Moana 2, a childhood Disney movie.

Terrifier never seems to win; the Terrifier series gets hate and love all at once. Some people have mixed feelings about this series. Some people appreciate the intense and terrifying storyline, while others feel that the series is or can be too intense. It can also be disturbing due to some of the scenes, and some even just think the plot is too predictable, or relies on common horror tropes. Overall, the Terrifier series has a dedicated fanbase that enjoys the movies, while others might find it a bit too much for their taste. “The violence is crossing the line this time,” said a parent of a FWC student. A lot of people feel this…

We all know that high school can be very stressful. Many students struggle with academics for various reasons, and some may require additional support from the school to succeed. This support can come in the form of accommodations. Accommodations provide students with the assistance necessary to improve their performance in school, guiding them into the right path and giving them a chance to excel in the areas they struggled with before.   What are accommodations? And how do they relate to Special Education and other types of support?   Accommodations are changes that are made to the way students are taught to fit their learning styles, facilitating their learning experience. According to Ms. Evans, one of the Special Ed teachers at our school: “There is this belief in…

In recent years A.I has become more accessible, with students using platforms like ChatGPT and Grammarly to draft essays and solve complex problems. But, is this a good thing? I asked teachers and students their opinions on A.I. It is surprisingly mutual: If used correctly, A.I is a great tool, but it shouldn’t replace the hard work of learning.     One student, senior Imajin Grier, says “A.I. helps us understand things. I don’t know how to correctly write what I’m thinking.” For students like Imajin A. I. acts like an assistive tool similar to autocorrect, helping refine their thoughts rather than replacing the efforts of thinking.   Ms.Evans, the Biotech resources teacher, agrees with Imajin’s perspectives, saying “Students should use A.I. to help them get their thoughts on the paper, but not in a plagiarism way. It should be a helpful tool that allows them to express their ideas clearly.” However, Ms.Evans also notes using…
